Senior Infrastructure Operations Expert (m/f/x)

We are looking for a collaborative Senior Infrastructure Operations Expert (m/w/x) who thrives in a Linux-only mixed cloud/on-prem environment and wants to help design and maintain a resilient, efficient, and secure infrastructure, powering some of the most innovative energy trading technologies and actively contributing to the energy transition.

Please note that this position requires you to visit our office in Vienna occasionally for network device management in the office.

Redefine "automation" in energy trading 

As part of our dedicated team of experts, you will: 

• Be a key member of the cloud operations team, driving on-premise infrastructure services in cooperation with our hosting providers. (no cable management required 🙂)

• Ensure and monitor system security, availability, and performance across platforms

• Implement operational best practices for backups, disaster recovery, patching, and security hardening

• Create and optimize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments

• Collaborate closely with information security and software engineers in cross-functional teams.

How you fit into the team 

You want to participate in the transition to clean energy actively, and 

• Have at least five years of experience of operating Linux-based systems in on-prem/datacentre

• Have exposure to compliance and security frameworks (e.g., ISO27001, SOC 2) 

• Solid understanding of networking principles, VPNs, and firewall management (Fortinet experience is a plus) 

• Experienced in infrastructure as a service concepts and hosting provider orchestration

• Ability to manage AWS related services or willingness to learn are nice to have

• “Infrastructure as code" is no stranger to you (e.g., Ansible)

• Strong scripting skills in Python and shell environments

• Are fluent in English, have a detail-oriented and structured way of working, coupled with a hands-on mentality

Along with the listed benefits that are part of the overall compensation package, the salary for this role is aligned with a band starting at EUR 80,000, with the actual salary determined based on the experience and skills brought to the position.
