We’re looking for a (Senior) Market Intelligence Expert (f/m/x) to support our strategic market intelligence capabilities at the heart of energy trading and BESS optimization. In this high-impact role, you’ll ensure that internal and external stakeholders have the insights, market transparency, and strategic guidance needed to make informed go-to-market and product decisions.

You will drive market intelligence initiatives, portfolio optimization insights, and strategic analysis while strengthening enspired’s position as a trusted voice in the energy flexibility market. Redefine "automation" in energy trading

As our (Senior) Market Intelligence Expert, you will be part of our Global Strategic and Market Intelligence Team, which sits under the CEO, and you will:

• Monitor and evaluate short-term power market developments, trading signals, and asset behavior to deliver data-driven and actionable market insights to internal and external stakeholders

• Build and continuously improve processes for effective market knowledge sharing and timely analysis and communication of relevant market events (think price spikes, negative prices, or unexpected changes in forecasts)

• Using third-party proprietary and public data sources, deliver market potential analyses and revenue estimations that support go-to-market, product, and business development decisions

• Dive deep into issues of strategic importance to our clients, such as co-location, portfolio optimization, and offtake structures, to understand and translate them into actionable insights for internal teams

• Working closely with our Asset Optimization team, leverage enspired’s trading expertise and proprietary market data to strengthen market positioning, particularly through enspired’s Energy Storage Intelligence Network, but also public platforms such as LinkedIn

• Prepare presentations and strategic market insight materials for leadership, customer engagements, and industry events

• Engage regularly and closely with our Business Development, Sales, and Asset Optimization teams on all of the above, to ensure a joined-up approach to assessing product-market fit and communicating to external audiences

• Do all of the above by taking advantage of AI tools, while continuously improving your AI tool chain to make your work even more impactful and efficient

How you fit into the team

You want to participate in the transition to clean energy actively, and you have

• Experience in strategic market intelligence, energy trading, analytics, consulting, or a related field

• Strong understanding of European short-term power markets, flexibility markets, and energy market signals

• Experience working with renewable energy assets, BESS optimization, or portfolio management concepts

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to transform complex data into actionable commercial insights

• Proven ability to support strategic business decisions with data-driven recommendations and revenue estimations

• Curiosity and willingness to explore and adopt AI tools and autonomous agents as part of modern market analysis and business workflows

• Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience tailoring insights to technical, commercial, and executive audiences

• Experience collaborating across commercial, technical, trading, and product teams

• Fluency in English.

It’s a plus if you also:

• Bring experience in energy trading, flexibility optimization, ancillary services, or cross-market optimization

• Have experience with discounted cash flow modeling, asset valuations, and general financial modeling concepts

• Have experience with automation, data tooling, or advanced analytics workflows, particularly leveraging AI tools for coding (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) or general analysis (Claude, Gemini) to improve workflows, analysis quality, and decision-making processes

• Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as Python

• Have experience preparing executive-level presentations or representing organizations at industry events

Along with the listed benefits that are part of the overall compensation package, this position is primarily advertised within the Expert salary band, starting at EUR 80,000 gross annually. We are, however, also considering candidates at the Senior Expert level. In such cases, the salary range would align with the Senior Expert band, with actual compensation determined by the candidate’s skills, experience, and expertise relevant to the role.
